My LG front load washer is the best appliance I have ever purchased. The
features and ease of use and its ability to clean clothes make it by far the best washer on the market today.
About a year ago my GE top load washer started acting up so the wife and I started
doing our research. Although our dryer was still working, we decided to buy a matching pair. We did a lot of
research on line comparing all the different manufacturers and models and zeroed in on a particular LG pair with
matching pedestals. There is a simple e-book available that told us how we could save a couple of hundred dollars
on the pair that was very easy to do and took very little time. Following the e-books simple instruction we found a
retailer that gave us the lowest price and bought the pair.
The first thing I noticed once the new LG
front load washer and steam dryer were delivered and installed was how large both the washer and steam dryer
are. When I got to the washer with the first load of clothes I planned to wash I was pleasantly surprised to find
What would have filled my old washer up didn’t come close to filling up my new LG washer. Wow! What should I do
now? I did what anyone would do…..I went back to where I had the clothes separated and decided what pile I could
include with the first pile. I chose a pile that kind of matched and took them in and added them to the washer.
There was actually still room for more but all I had left were whites so I went ahead and decided to wash the two
loads that I put in there together. Next it was time to add the detergent and the fabric softener. I couldn’t
believe how easy it was with the dispensers conveniently located up front. The controls were very easy to
understand and set with several different options available. Once I started the
washer I couldn’t believe how quiet it was. I had heard front load washers were noisy and tended to vibrate quite a
bit but my new LG washer was relatively quiet and hardly vibrated at all.
Once the washer finished it cycle, I opened the door to find that the washer had spun
out almost all of the water out of the clothes. This is accomplished by the LG front load washer spinning out at a
lot higher rpm than a traditional washer. I got the nearly dry clothes out of the washer and prepared to put them
in the dryer. I am sure glad we went ahead and spent the extra money on the pedestals for they make it really
convenient height wise to transfer the clothes from the washer to the dryer. If the washer is huge the dryer is
enormous. After loading what would have amounted to two loads of laundry in a standard washer into the dryer I
could tell there was still plenty of room for the clothes to tumble. The more room for the clothes to tumble the
faster they dry which means less spent on electricity. I chose to add steam to the dry
cycle and when the clothes were finished they came out nice and fluffy with hardly a wrinkle to be found anywhere
among them.
After using them for several months now and learning all the great features associated with each, I must say I couldn’t be happier about a
major appliance purchase. There are so many great features and cycles I love about them. You can find many
different features and cycles and how I use them on the menu
bar.
